Painted Piano

I recieved this piano for FREEEEE  about 7 years ago, and I have wanted to paint it ever since.  Originally I planned on painting it black or shabby chic white, but after spotting a turquoise one on Pinterest, I decided to be bold, and add some color to my life.  I took most of it apart, and lightly sanded it.  It was about 100 degrees outside when I woke up one morning and decided to take on this project,  so I painted it right where it stands.  I layed down paper and tape, used a screwdriver, and went to work.  Because I took it apart, I was able to change the knobs, and add the decorative decals on the music stand, and above the pedals.  I used Behr premium paint with built in primer (Swan Sea) and painted 2 coats. I bought a gallon, but used very little.  A quart would do just fine for this small piano.  I also rolled the paint with a foam roller on the flat surfaces, and I used a cheap foam brush for the rest.  It felt like a hefty project at the start, but really only ended up taking me a day.   I think it turned out awesome.  I love the color!!  As you can see all of my walls in my rental home are tan (I am so grateful their not white).   My walls will stay tan, but that doesn't mean I can't find ways to add color and to use paint!!
A closer look at the decals!!  (Hint: buy these at Hobby Lobby, because they are much more expensive at Home Depot).
